Do-not-track

Do Not Track (DNT) is a browser-based privacy preference that allows users to signal that they do not want their online activities tracked across websites or services. Although DNT generally does not require websites to honor the signal, laws such as the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) require covered operators to disclose how they respond to DNT signals and other mechanisms that allow consumers to express choices about tracking.
