EU Representative

An EU Representative is an EU-based person or organization appointed to act on behalf of certain entities established outside the EU. Under the GDPR, some non-EU controllers and processors must appoint one when offering goods or services to, or monitoring, people in the EU. Under the EU AI Act, certain non-EU providers of high-risk AI systems or general-purpose AI models must appoint an authorized representative to support compliance and communicate with regulators.
